Here I go again. Here is something the government can do to help the economy. How about cutting out some of the entitlements that are being handed out like candy to all that want it, as long as they continue to support that political party and use that money to increase the pay of our military personnel that are out there protecting our freedoms. Maybe that would help motivate young people to enlist helping them to mature, train them for their future and give them a chance of something else rather than a life of poverty and dependency on government handouts. I truly think it’s sad when there are lazy people that would rather do nothing and receive practically what my son in the U.S. Airforce makes monthly to help protect our freedoms. With more young people joining the military it would not only ease the duty load of our troops but it would also help to decrease the pool of people looking for jobs increasing the odds of landing a job.
Here is another one. How about instead of drizzling unemployment money to people we give anther option like a lump sum payment if that individual has a good business plan. Why not help more funds to be available for small business and new business starts. I am sure there are plenty of people that have ideas to create successful business that would create jobs and help our economy but will never have the chance. It’s more important to save the banks and not let them learn from their mistakes or the car companies with the unions that spend all the money to get politicians elected. Remember the (not enough money to pay legacy cost)? That money most likely went to political campaigns. Why not invest in the people of our great nation instead of the government that controls it.

Threatend
Here I go again, another rant so hold on and lend me your ear.
Please ask yourself this question. Do I feel threatened by my government? In what way you ask. In any way. I feel personally threatened in many ways. If I don’t do the things the government demands of me they will make me pay the direst consequences. This includes everything they demand. I do not have the right to refuse the governments demands. I can’t just say no. If a fellow American walks up to me and demands 30% of the money in my pocket, I dial 911 and he is on his way to the local jailhouse. But when the government does it, some how this is ok. They threaten me with incarceration, fines or whatever it feels is adequate for my indecisions. How dare I not do what I am told? Does anyone see anything wrong here? They are supposed to follow our demands not the other way around. What has happened to us? Have we become SLAVES willing to accept whatever our MASTERS bid us? Freedom has become skewed in ways that can’t be explained. Please understand, I do not want anarchy by any means and would not condone any behavior like that. But I can certainly say something needs to happen to reverse some of the damage. I feel that something is article 10 of our constitution. The rules we live by to control the anarchy should be derived by our peers at a state level. Not a central goverment making rules for all. Our founding father put this in the constitution to assure our freedoms would not be threatened by a power larger than it’s people. That ways of life and cultures would not be pushed upon others. That freedom would be preserved. That’s the beauty our great country The United States of America. There are 50 different states, providing 50 different cultures and societies. Granted we are not nearly as localized as our forefathers but we are still different. Someone that chooses to live in New York is defiantly different from someone that lives in Montana. Neither better than the other, but different. Different is still okay, I think. I live in Colorado and don’t want the people of Florida deciding on laws that regulate my life and I am pretty sure they don’t want us deciding theirs. I truly believe that the solution is what was meant in the beginning, The United States of America. Not the government of the United States of America and the states it controls. That’s why I know the solution is that the federal government needs to be taken control of by utilizing the vote and put the authority of our laws and our ways of life back in the states hands where it was meant to be and still should be. I encourage every American read the 10th amendment of the constitution and give it thought every time you walk into the voting booth. God bless The United States of America and Colorado my home. Vote the X!

Goverment-Mob ?
I once again have found myself pondering why people are and why people do. A thing I do to pass the countless hours of boredom I experience daily. Today’s conundrum is: "why in an individualistic society such as ours, do people try so hard to belong to so many different groups instead of truly accepting the individual differences that make us human and display tolerance for those differences. It seems as if everyone is so busy building alliances and preparing for the battle instead of figuring out ways for everyone to live together. Wait a minute, we already do live together. How is that? How have we done that without utter chaos? This might not be as hard as it seems. I guess we can live together. So what causes the tensions? I guess I am okay with how darn near anyone wants to live their life as long as their existence is not based on the destruction of another. I believe the tensions come from when groups try to tell someone how they are supposed to live. Try walking up to the stranger closest to you and say "you are going to live your life like I say because I know what's best for you". Go ahead, I'll wait. What? Don't want to do that? I can't say I blame you. Most individuals would even think of doing that even if they disagreed with the way the person lived. Out of respect for that person’s right to believe in what they want? So why is it when we band together in groups of like minded people do we think that we need to force everyone to believe our way? Do we want to end up with the biggest group? I don't, that’s not freedom, that's communism. What makes us think that just because our group is bigger it gives us the right to tell the others how to live? Isn't freedom supposed to be live and let live as long as it don’t harm? Why do we try to shape freedom? Freedom is I can think anything as long as I don't harm. For some reason it seems as if they think that if it's not in the constitution we don't have the right. I see it the other way around. We have the rights as a basic freedom guaranteed by the constitution until laws are made to take freedoms away. I don't understand the need to have a law that forces me to get insurance. How can I be forced by a government that works for me to purchase something that I don't want to just so the people that do want to won’t have to pay more? Why do I have to lose my freedom to help keep health care cost down for other people when I don’t believe in the system? Why not go after the inflated prices for profits instead of me? You know, I believe my phone bill is too high. I think we should make a law that everyone that does not have service with Qwest should have to pay a fine. That would make my phone cheaper. I know Qwest would like that. I know that’s absurd but that is exactly what the government is trying to do with healthcare. Only the government is Qwest in that case. What gives them that right? Why do we as Americans put up with a mob of criminals in Washington called our government telling us how to live and extorting us to do it in the name of what is best for us? Because we are way too stupid to know what might be best for us and besides that how will the mob I mean government profit from that. To end this rant I will leave you with this. Make no mistake I have no problem with my neighbors no matter what they believe as long as they don't want to bring me harm. My government on the other hand I do have an issue with. They need to secure my freedoms not dictate them to me as they see fit. They are what cause the tensions. Why you say? Profit, there is allot of money in fear.

Patriot Politics (Our American Duty)
My name is Erik Sturm. My father was a retired First Sgt. in the US Army and fought in 2 wars. My mother served in the WAC. My older brother was in the US Airforce. I was in the US Army. My daughter is in the US Army Reserves and my son is in the US Airforce. That being said I would consider myself a patriotic person that has true love for his country and all the people that makes her up. In my almost 42 years I have expienced alot of changes in our country, coulture and society as a hole. Some good, some not so good. But I always had confidence that the powers that be were making desicions based on the intellegence recieved and the balance of humanity for the common good of America. I always felt that they were looking out for us. All of us. Now, I am sad to say, that I have lost confidence, not in my country but in the powers that be and furthermore my brother and sister Americans. I have never seen the blantent disregard for the fate of the country and it's people for self promotion than what I have witnessed by our elected officials in the last 2-3 years. They don't even try and hide it anymore. They are really making up the rules as they go along to fit thier needs. Please do not mistake this as a bias rant. There is enough self promotion and preservation to go around democrate and republican alike. The reason for my lack of cofidence in my fellow Americans is due to the lack of action caused by either a lack of caring or a lack of knowledge. Please people STOP!, take a second and look around and try to be concerned abount something other than what transpires in your 5% of seperation. Becouse, for what it's worth, I can't speak for anyone else but I am actually scared of where OUR country is heading. It truly means something to me. I don't claim to have all the answers, although I do have some theroies, but I do believe we need to start demanding some answers and not accept being blown off. I believe we shoud have higher expectations of our officials. I believe we should demand accountability without allowing political witch hunts for political (personal) gain. We have roamed around like lambs for to long being to self consumed with our own existance to realize what has really been going on around us. Find out what your elected officails political views are and demand they fall in lne with yours. Ater all he or she works for YOU!
Sincerely,
Erik J Sturm Sr.
