Where are the Jobs?

Try this one on for size. There are no jobs to be had. With the addition of more women, high school drop outs and illegal aliens to the work force combined with the lack of industry resulting from high taxes and union demands the country is just taped out of jobs. Very few sectors are hiring new employees. In short, they don’t need any. The unemployment rate stays constant at about ten percent and combined with the other twenty to thirty percent of Americans on welfare or SSI there is approximately forty percent of the country unemployed. Not working voluntary or not. This would not include the under eighteen crowd. There is almost nothing manufactured in the U.S.A. Our products are purchased from lands far away and sold to the masses across our great land. That works as long as people are employed and can afford to make the purchases that support the growth of retail and it’s supporting industries. Once inflation took over as a result of higher union commitments and over extended credit by the masses it was inevitable that our economy imploded in on itself. How many times have you heard someone say “they are sending all our jobs overseas”? We can’t compete with the rest of the world when it comes to cheap labor. Unless we want to lower our standards considerably. I kind of like our way of life. So how do we create industry and manufacture products that Americans can purchase at prices that they can afford? We can’t. Not when we allow products to be imported at a lower price than we can afford to manufacture them. Take shoes for example. What if the U.S.A. puts a ban on all shoes not manufactured in the U.S.A.? Factories would spring up across America manufacturing the best shoes in the world. To remain competitive for export the manufacturers would have to stay open shop keeping wages reasonable. This has a two pronged affect the second prong driving down inflation. Obviously there would be real jobs created in the factories and supporting industries. Now this is just shoes. What else can be done to help create jobs. Spending money is not the answer. The answer lies in sound reasoning for the benefit of our great country not the benefit of the few. America is the land of the free and the brave. We need to brave the times by tightening our belts and make law that makes sense. Impose tariffs to help create manufactured goods by Americans for Americans and help make made in the USA mean something again. It’s America’s time to help America.

Wolf

Anyone remember the story about the boy that cried wolf? I do, it was a story I believe we all heard in our childhoods to teach us that lying was bad and instilled the kind of values that we needed to carry on in life. Pretty basic message, “lying is bad”. If you ask 10 children under the age of 10 about lying they will tell you it is bad and will get you in trouble.
You are most likely wondering, where is he going with this?
The Question is. If a child can tell you that lying is bad why do are politicians feel it is okay to let lies spew anytime it benefits them? They lie about almost everything. I am not talking about opinions either. I understand a difference of opinion. I am talking about facts. Facts are facts and are factual. If not they would be theory. I believe we have enough so called experts to deliver the facts. So why can’t we use them to make sound decisions regarding our country instead of ignoring them? How can they plan to fix anything when facts are being ignored or just plain twisted? And if this is not bad enough there are many politicians just blatantly lying from one moment to the next. Including our president. They contradict themselves at every turn. They don’t even believe what they are saying but they somehow expect us to. We should demand from our government at least what we demand of our children. The truth. We need to stop accepting what ever lie they toss at us and start demanding they accept the facts and act accordingly and if they don’t then we need to fire them and hire someone that will. I believe we at least deserve that from our government.
