Wolf

Anyone remember the story about the boy that cried wolf? I do, it was a story I believe we all heard in our childhoods to teach us that lying was bad and instilled the kind of values that we needed to carry on in life. Pretty basic message, “lying is bad”. If you ask 10 children under the age of 10 about lying they will tell you it is bad and will get you in trouble.
You are most likely wondering, where is he going with this?
The Question is. If a child can tell you that lying is bad why do are politicians feel it is okay to let lies spew anytime it benefits them? They lie about almost everything. I am not talking about opinions either. I understand a difference of opinion. I am talking about facts. Facts are facts and are factual. If not they would be theory. I believe we have enough so called experts to deliver the facts. So why can’t we use them to make sound decisions regarding our country instead of ignoring them? How can they plan to fix anything when facts are being ignored or just plain twisted? And if this is not bad enough there are many politicians just blatantly lying from one moment to the next. Including our president. They contradict themselves at every turn. They don’t even believe what they are saying but they somehow expect us to. We should demand from our government at least what we demand of our children. The truth. We need to stop accepting what ever lie they toss at us and start demanding they accept the facts and act accordingly and if they don’t then we need to fire them and hire someone that will. I believe we at least deserve that from our government.
